I was very excited to be interviewed recently for a fairly in-depth article in Cosmopolitan about female genital piercings!
Of course, they couldn't resist using a headline with the words "Clit Piercing," even though it is clarified in the article that actual "clit piercings" (clitoral glans piercings) are rare, and that most female genital piercings are of the hood, (such as the vertical clitoral hood-- VCH, and triangle).
I thought there would be input from multiple piercers, because a friend contacted me to let me know that Cosmo had put the word out that they were looking for professionals to interview for this article. Though, buy the time my friend had messaged me, I'd already been contacted directly by Carina Hsieh, the author of the article.
I think she did a great job of asking questions so I could address common concerns and dispel myths about female genital piercings.
I went over the basics on the most popular female piercings: vertical clitoral hood (VCH), triangle, horizontal clitoral hood (HCH), and also clitoris piercings. I got to explain about some of the anatomical configuration requirements, risks, what to expect, healing tips, sex with piercings, and much more.
