I received a very interesting query from a woman who had her clitoris pierced many years prior and ended up with it bifurcated following an accident:

Hi Elayne,
In 94' Barb Pierce from Creative Tattoo in Ann Arbor pierced my clit and it healed very well. I had an accident a year later and it left my piercing slightly torn. I left it to heal and it began to regect. I then decided to bisect it my self with a scalpel, thinking that once the rejection started i wouldnt need to keep the halves separated for them to heal individually. I was correct. They healed and expanded a bit, became more sensitive.

So for the past 17 years I have never met another woman who has bisected her clit, so therefore I have also never heard of any woman piercing both halves. Each side is the size of a Qtip. I would like to know if you have ever seen/heard of this. I am interested in it, but I dont want to be a test pilot nor do I have a desire to have 4 clits! Lol!

I have looked online to educate myself, but found little to nothing on the bisecting or the piercing. I have spoken with piercers far and near, and No one has info. Some are willing to do the piercing, but i first need info on the piercing itself. There has to be some woman out there likeminded as I, who has bisected her clit and then pierced both halves! I need to be educated on this before I schedule this piercing. If anyone would know, I feel it would be you Elayne.

I haven't actually heard of this before but feel familiar enough with the anatomy and piercings to offer you some input. I do have a clitoris piercing myself as well (since 1981!).  It would be very helpful if I could see a clear, close-up image or two.

My one concern is whether the piercings on each side might have problems where the jewelry would meet in the center--the location of the inside holes. If the tissue rests to some extent spread apart, it could be okay. If the two halves rest very close together, that could be an issue. I'll be able to offer my opinion if I see photos.
