I received a message with some photos from a woman who had received a Horizontal Clitoral Hood (HCH) piercing, but she was disappointed with it. She sought the piercing to enhance her sexual pleasure, and she was not experiencing any added enjoyment or sensations. I saw the photo, and this was my comment:

I received the following message from someone interested in viewing my web page in another language:
I would like to print your webpage out (with photos) in Spanish. Is that possible? I have a female friend who would like to have her clitoris pierced, but she doesn't know English. She would very much be interested in the content of your information. HELP? R.
If you go to this page http://piercingbible.com/female-genital-piercings (or any page of my site) and look at the tool bar across the bottom of the browser, in addition to links to my Facebook page, Twitter page , and YouTube channel, one of the options will say "Translate." Click that and then select the language of your choice, and click on it.
Naturally, the translations won't be perfect, especially since the vocabulary for this topic is rather specialized--but it should help to make the content understandable.
In addition to the American English in which it is written, a translation of my website is available in the following languages: Chinese, Dutch, British English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish!
Thanks for your interest.

I was recently interviewed about body modification (for a school project) and I will share with you what I had to say on the subject:
Q: In your experience, how has body modification changed over the years since you started compared to now? Is it more complex and safe or is it going downhill for lack of better words?
A: Body piercing has undergone a truly explosive revolution since I became involved. After a long history among tribal peoples followed by years of obscurity at the fringes of Western society, body piercing has now achieved massive worldwide popularity in contemporary culture. For an amazing education about the development of the modern body piercing industry, read my former employer/mentor Jim Ward's revealing book, Running the Gauntlet.

I received this message from a woman who got a "triangle" piercing done in NYC, and it was nowhere near where a triangle should be placed:
I just got this piercing done at a pretty reputable studio in NYC. But after reading up (even more) and seeing even more pics online, I'm wondering if it was placed too low? Would you please see the pic attached and give me your professional opinion? Thanks!! I wish you were near, but I felt confident in the piercer I ended up choosing locally :-)

Below is an email exchange I had with a woman in the UK who got a botched VCH piercing, and then got it redone properly:
Hi! My name is S., I live in the UK. I looked at your site before getting my VCH, I am happy with my piercing but it dosn't look like any on the VCH I've seen on your site and wondering maybe he's made a mistake? It's still a bit swollen as I've only had it a few days, I hope to hear back from u soon! Thanks! S. =)
You definitely do NOT have a properly placed VCH piercing. You have a piercing located on the side of your clitoral hood. A VCH goes in the center. Further, the jewelry is not touching your clitoris, which is the thing that is potentially stimulating about the VCH piercing. Also the way the jewelry is resting, the piercing is higher on the inside of your hood than it is on the outside. This is not a proper placement and it causes your clitoral hood to be hooked over the top of the jewelry, so you're likely to get migration, scarring, or both. Additionally, you can expect that it will be uncomfortable, or downright painful.
I'd ask for my money back, take the jewelry out, and seek a more qualified piercer to do it for you.

I got a message from a gentleman with a healed Prince Albert piercing. He was alarmed at seeing some blood after masturbating:
Hello, this is a bit scary. I got a PA a while back. About 5 years back to be exact. All went well, I've since managed to stretch to an 8G. Two days ago, I switched to a captive bead ring. This took a little work, as the bead did not want to pop into the jewelry.
Weird thing is, I um. Well I pleasured myself today, and to my horror was a bunch of blood mixed with semen.
1) It doesn't look swollen, infected, etc
2) There was absolutely no pain before during or after this happened, nor while urinating, rinsing, anything.
3) It sometimes feels a tiny bit sensitive, but nothing I haven't felt before when adjusting to new jewelry.
It definitely freaked me out as the only other time it ever bled was 5 years ago when I first got the piercing.

I received yet another message from a woman who received a botched genital piercing (a triangle). But this one was far worse than many of the others, as it has resulted in her loss of genital sensation:
Hello, my name is E. and I am from the U.K, I have so much respect for you and what you,ve accomplished, therefore I feel that I will get the best advice on this matter.
I had a triangle piercing and it has had disasterous consequences, due to the fact that the piercer pierced right through the clitoral shaft with no anaesthetic and I can no longer feel anything down there. I had this piercing checked by an outstanding female piercer, she trained the other piercer that i go to, and she confirmed that it had gone right through the shaft and that the piercer had got the placement completely wrong.
I have since got the wrong triangle taken out and had the piercing done by this female piercer. It is not a proper triangle due to the fact that it would of done a lot of damage to all the scar tissue, however its straight, its right away from the shaft and it looks beautiful so I am very happy with that. I am considering taking legal action against the male piercer who has mutilated my genitals, but what i want to know is would it be worth it, or is it a case of my word against his? Thank you, E. xx

I just got yet another message from a woman who got a totally botched VCH piercing. This was especially upsetting since she had actually been on this website to learn about genital piercings before getting hers done!
I used your site for research about a vch piercing before actually getting it. Unfortunally I got it. I was not happy with how it came out, I dont think the pictures are showing it very well, but i can actually see the barbell through where I got the piercing. I contacted the piercer and he has offered to redo it free of charge. I just wanted your opinion on if I'm completely crazy for thinking it is messed up or if I was correct for taking it out. Also, I took it out two hours ago, but I am feeling discomfort, it isn't exactly pain but it doesnt feel natural. Is there any suggestions you have? I'm doing the sea salt soaks even though I took it out until it heals. Please Help!
