This one speaks for itself (I think I'm blushing.)

Subject: Thank you for being you
Hello Elayne,

I'm a piercer fresh out of my apprenticeship and I'm now managing a tattoo and piercing parlor in a small town.

One reason I'm writing is because I wanted to thank you for writing The Piercing Bible: The Definitive Guide to Safe Body Piercing. Your book helped me immensely throughout my apprenticeship and to this day I use it as a reference for myself and my clients as well. The information I gained from your book helped me progress in my apprenticeship so quickly that my mentor graduated me after only ten months. She was also so impressed with my independent research that she promoted me to shop manager at the same time. I feel that your book has made me a more careful, knowledgeable, thorough, and safe piercer; and for that I'm very grateful.

The second reason I’m writing is on behalf of my boss/mentor/shop-owner and myself. We see the body modification industry as highly male-dominated and at times we have felt underestimated in our abilities because we are and most of our staff are females. So we would like to thank you for showing to the world that professionalism, skill, and talent know no gender. It’s not as if we feel we deserve extra credit or respect just for being women in the body modification industry, but we are extremely proud to have such and accomplished and intelligent female role model such as yourself.

The final reason I’m writing is to ask if you are still piercing and if so, what I would need to do to arrange an appointment with you. The more research I do on the triangle piercing, the more I want it! So far I have not found piercers in my immediate area who are qualified to perform the procedure, and I’m not about to take my chances on a piercer whose work I’m not familiar with. After reading the triangle piercing section in The Piercing Bible, I believe I would make a good candidate for this piercing and I’m pretty sure my anatomy is suitable. My main concern is having it done safely and correctly, as I’m a big fan of my clitoris. ;) If you aren’t still piercing, would you be able to point me in the direction of an experienced piercer who is qualified to perform the triangle piercing? Ideally, however, I’d love to be pierced by you personally.

Thanks so much for your time, your work, your pioneering, you are an inspiration to all of us here at our studio in this small town.

Sincerely,
P
