UPDATE! Here are some photos of the tattoo in progress:
I received this message from a Facebook friend who is a fellow piercer:
How are you? We met at APP, a couple of times actually :) I am working on a leg sleeve of portraits of people in the body modification industry that I feel have made a huge impact or have been influential to myself. I only have one at the moment, David Vidra. Of course, you are going to be included in it! There are too many reasons to even list why I would choose to have your portrait tattooed on me, but I will just say that you are definitely a huge inspiration to a lot of us, and especially to us ladies out here. You've made leaps and bounds in this industry and I truly believe a lot of us wouldn't be doing what we are doing if it weren't for your work and dedication. So first off, thank you for being you! Second off, would it be possible to get a high resolution photo of you? I would LOVE the photo you used for your pain magazine articles. Your expression, your hat, all of it, I think would make an excellent portrait. Thanks so much in advance!
Yes, of course I remember you and your David Vidra tattoo. I recall you mentioning that you planned to add me on there as well, and I'm both honored and amused. I'm happy to be in good company (with David) and I think it is so cool that you're getting these portraits and paying your respects to industry leaders. It says a lot about your dedication to the field!
And yes, you can have a photo to work from on the condition that I get to have a photo of your tattoo once it is healed. ; )
Looking forward to seeing the finished product! Do you plan to have it done before the next Conference?
