I received a message and some photos from a woman who got pierced twice, and neither was properly placed....

Hi, I'm writing to ask you a couple of questions....I have just recently got a VCH piercing... now when I went in the first time to get my piercing done she seemed kind of unprofessional at a couple of points, but it never made me to too nervous, I was terrified of getting the piercing, and she put the needle through and I knew at that point deep down that the piercing was in the wrong spot, it did not feel right at all, but like an idiot, I didn't say anything and I went home and my boyfriend had looked at it and he said that it wasn't in my hood at all, it never even came close to my clitoris.

A woman wrote to me:

I got this yesterday. It doesn't look like the other piercings.

My reply:

I'm afraid you have been given a very shallow hood surface piercing. You really should try to get your money back and you should take the jewelry out. It is definitely NOT safe to have such a small amount of skin pierced, especially with such a long bar. Even if you try to heal it, you're likely to find your body treats it as a splinter and ejects it. I would NOT trust the same piercer to redo it. Its abundantly clear that tea or she had absolutely no idea what to do or where to place a VCH piercing.

Where are you located? Perhaps I can suggest a competent professional in your area?
I marked your photo with what I call the "Inverted-V" of the hood. The jewelry should be coming out from underneath there….

I received a message from a woman who suspected her VCH piercing wasn't properly placed as she was not experiencing any enhancements from it.

She wrote:
Could you have a look at the photos of my VCH piercing?  I had it done a few months ago and while it hasn't caused me any bother, it hasn't had quite the "wow" factor I was expecting!  If you think it is situated correctly could you recommend jewellery for it? 

I live in Ireland so I travelling to one of your recommended piercers wasn't an option!

Hi, I recieved a triangle piercing recently. Although it is very pleasing I have been doing alot of reading on your site and you had mentioned that the hood should not be pinned down and that the piercing should be pretty straight well mine is not quite like that. I got it done by a reputable pierrcer who owns Big Brain here in Omaha, Nebraska. I just wanted your opinion on whether you think migration is possible or if I would have some long term problems down the line.

After checking out your website and researching this piercing, I went ahead and decided to go get one for myself!

I have seen other reviewers say they have sent pictures of their to evaluate if it has been done correctly, and since you are not in my area piercing, I went to another piercing place to have it done.  However. I  still want your professional opinion on whether it was done correctly.  Being such a delicate area, I want to know mine is done right!

I know my piercer did use the NRT [needle receiving tube].  I do have concerns because he went through with the needle, then said the skin on my hood moved (which I know must happen at times) and had to pierce me again.  (You can see in the pictures, above the top ball where I think the first needle went through before he had to move it down.)  So this is where I lost a little confidence.  Afterward, I bled profusely for about 4-5 hours almost as if i had my monthly cycle which also worried me.  So I just want your opinions on this, if it's normal, and if the piercing looks done correctly to you!

The bleeding has stopped and I am in no pain, I have been cleaning it as instructed, but I don't feel any "heightened" sexual sensations at this point either.  Maybe that will come after healing?  I apologize for the bruising and some of the dried blood, as this piercing was done less than 24 hours ago and still has to heal.
